Add Qualifications

New qualifications for a person can be created.

 

NOTE: Wile you can add new TRN qualifications directly on this tab, it is recommended for positions with taskbooks that you start in the taskbook tab first.  Initiating a taskbook will create the TRN position qualification as well as a target position for the trainee position.

 

Steps to add Qualifications

  1. Place your cursor over Certifications and left click on the sub-menu option Qualifications.

  2. Excluding the Person name field, the top portion of this screen is display only.  The information displayed was entered through the Person/Org menu option. 

  3. Select the person to which you would like to add qualifications by left clicking on the Drop-down list button  Drop-down list or by typing in the person's name.  

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and left click on the Add button Add .

  5. A pop-up window will appear.  Enter the Qual Type, Job and Effective Date.  When entering a date you can either enter the date manually or left click on the Calendar button Calendarand select by left clicking the date.  The Expiration Date is automatically calculated or it can be manually entered.  Enter the Certifier and Dispatch Level using the drop down button Drop-down list.  Position Priority, PP, is a number that indicates the priority order of the qualifications.  Leaving this field blank will result in the qualification not printing on the Incident Qualification Card.

  6. The fields that are displayed in green are required fields.

  7. You can use the drop-down lists to select data by left clicking on the Drop-down list button Drop-down list.  Then left click on the data you would like to select.  You can also select data by using your up and down arrow keys on your computer keyboard to navigate through the list.
     

  8. The Integration checkbox is checked by default.  Uncheck the box if you do not want the new qualification to be sent to IROC through the IRWIN Integration Service..
     

  9. Use your Tab key on your computer keyboard to navigate through the fields or left click on each individual field.

  10. Left click on the X at the top right of the window to close or you can left click on the Cancel button as well.

  11. Left click on the OK button  to save the new information.

  12. Left click on the Cancel button    if you do not wish to save.
